Meet Our Staff
DIVERSITY AND OUR TEAM
St. Elizabeth's Day Home has a long standing commitment to all non-discriminatory employment practices. We are committed to the hiring, employment and human development of all people, regardless of race, color, religion, age, gender, sexual orientation, national, physical or mental disability or veteran status. We value the diversity our staff brings to St. Elizabeth's Day Home. We believe our diverse environment gives children, families and all our staff the opportunity to learn about the strengths of our world cultures and languages. Our business language at St. Elizabeth's Day Home is English. All staff are interviewed in English and bring with them a variety of work and education experiences. Many of our staff are English Learners and have a home language from her/his native countries. We encourage the teachers to bring her/his home languages to the Day Home to share with the children through song and stories. The children will have a rich English language program as well as the natural exposure to multiple languages. Studies have proven that the family's home language sets the primary foundation for each child's language development. With this in mind St. Elizabeth's Day Home reflects an environment of cultural and linguistic diversity. The diversity of our staff and our families is one of the strengths and tremendous benefits of St. Elizabeth's Day Home.
